DBBA Members Code of Conduct

Welcome to the Department of Beauty Bureau Agency (DBBA) community of members. As esteemed representatives of DBBA, your dedication to professionalism, ethical conduct, and adherence to the principles outlined in this Code of Conduct is vital for upholding the integrity of our community and nurturing positive relationships with salon partners.

1. Professionalism and Courtesy:

  • DBBA members are expected to exemplify the highest standards of professionalism and courtesy in all interactions with salon owners, staff, and fellow members.

2. Compliance with C.U.S.T.O.M.E.R. S.E.R.V.I.C.E.:

  • Members must align with the principles of C.U.S.T.O.M.E.R. S.E.R.V.I.C.E., ensuring every interaction embodies values such as courtesy, understanding, support, transparency, objectivity, meticulousness, empathy, responsiveness, service excellence, education, relationship building, value-driven actions, integrity, clear communication, and empowerment.

3. Acceptance of DBBA Advantage Deal:

  • All DBBA members are mandated to honor the DBBA Advantage Deal. This includes providing a 25% discount to first-time customers referred by DBBA—an exclusive offer integral to our commitment to supporting salon partners and enhancing the overall customer experience.

4. Customer Referral Commitment:

  • Members must prioritize DBBA referrals, maintaining the highest standards of C.U.S.T.O.M.E.R. S.E.R.V.I.C.E. when serving customers referred by DBBA. This commitment extends to honoring the first-time customer discount of 25% as part of the DBBA Advantage Deal.

5. Reporting and Compliance:

  • Any concerns regarding the DBBA Advantage Deal or the Code of Conduct should be promptly reported to DBBA administrators. Failure to comply, including refusal to honor the DBBA Advantage Deal, may result in account suspension or termination.

6. Integrity in Promotions:

  • Members are expected to uphold the integrity of promotions and deals offered through DBBA. All promotional activities must align with the values and guidelines set forth by DBBA.

7. Transparent Communication:

  • Members should communicate transparently with DBBA administrators and fellow members regarding challenges, concerns, or feedback related to the DBBA Advantage Deal or customer interactions.

8. Continuous Learning and Improvement:

  • DBBA members are encouraged to stay informed about updates, guidelines, and best practices. Commit to continuous learning and improvement to enhance skills and contribute positively to the DBBA community.

9. Collaboration and Support:

  • Foster a collaborative and supportive atmosphere within the DBBA community. Members are encouraged to share insights, resources, and support to contribute to the growth and success of fellow members.

10. Commitment to DBBA Values:

  • Members should align actions with the core values of DBBA, ensuring that every interaction adds value to the salon community and contributes to the overall mission of the association.

11. Commitment to Excellence:

  • Members are committed to delivering services and products meeting the highest standards of quality and professionalism.
  • Upholding the reputation of the beauty industry through continuous improvement and dedication to excellence.

12. Ethical Practices:

  • Members will conduct business with honesty, transparency, and integrity, adhering to all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Avoiding deceptive practices and maintaining the highest ethical standards in all interactions.

13. Collaboration and Respect:

  • Promoting a collaborative environment that fosters mutual respect among members, salons, professionals, and customers.
  • Embracing diversity and inclusion, treating everyone with dignity and respect.

14. Confidentiality:

  • Respecting the confidentiality of sensitive information shared within the DBBA network.
  • Safeguarding proprietary information and ensuring the privacy of all involved parties.

15. Compliance with Regulations:

  • Members will stay informed and compliant with all relevant industry regulations, including North Carolina State Board rules.
  • Proactively adapting to changes in regulations to ensure adherence and legal compliance.

16. Professional Development:

  • Members are encouraged to invest in continuous learning and professional development to stay abreast of industry trends and best practices.
  • Supporting the growth and advancement of beauty professionals within the DBBA network.

17. Responsiveness and Communication:

  • Members will maintain open and timely communication with the DBBA team, fellow members, and beauty professionals.
  • Addressing concerns and inquiries promptly to ensure a collaborative and supportive network.

18. Sustainability and Environmental Responsibility:

  • Members are encouraged to adopt sustainable practices and demonstrate a commitment to environmental responsibility where possible.
  • Supporting initiatives that contribute to the well-being of the community and the planet.

19. Adherence to DBBA Policies:

  • Members will familiarize themselves with and adhere to all DBBA policies and guidelines.
  • Working collaboratively with DBBA to resolve any disputes or concerns in a fair and constructive manner.

20. Enforcement and Consequences:

  • Violations of the Partner Code of Conduct may result in a review of the membership and potential termination if deemed necessary.
  • DBBA is committed to maintaining a professional and ethical community and will take appropriate action to uphold these standards.
